Clear the decks. It’s time for a Spring clean of your mind. Get elbow-deep into the crevices of subconscious patterns of behaviour that are holding you back from being the rockstar you are. Chuck out unhelpful emotional states stuffed under the bed that suffocate your joy and keep you awake at night. Scour the cluttered cupboards of critical thoughts that keep you scared and small. Sweep your red feather duster over self-limiting beliefs that disempower you and dull your shine. Wipe the cobwebs of ruminating thoughts that distract you from your dreams and passions.
It is time to make space for new treasures to emerge in your life. What are you ready to let go of now? What will you make room for in your life today?
Make a deal with yourself to trade in old behavioural patterns that keep you stuck in the same boring rut, day in and day out. Make one radical change to one part of your life and see how easy it is to apply to others. You could ditch one night of TV binge-watching for that 80s funk dance class you heard about. Dig up your glitter leg warmers, dab on some blue eyeshadow, and get your groove on.
Set your intention to say “Rack Off!” to judgy, self-limiting thoughts and beliefs that dredge up energy-sapping feelings of helplessness, anger or fear. What use are they to you now? Notice the self-bullying in other people and tell them to “run, not walk away”. Notice the inner critic in your own mind and give it a name. Every time you notice it, say, “Piss off Peggy-Sue!” Create space for the inner coach to raise you up and fill you with spirit.
Begin by decluttering your office desk, house and car of accumulated belongings. Your environment really does reflect your inner world. Look at relationships and decide how much energy you can expend on people who do not meet you halfway or use you selfishly for their own gain. Let go of the toxicity that will make you sick and weak. Reclaim that power today to be channelled towards the more essential things in your life.
